Spectacular Show at The Octagon Sheffield
Get ready for an unforgettable 2026 Sheffield Lunar Chinese New Year Spectacular at The Octagon on 18th February, starting at 7:00pm. Experience world-class acrobatic performances from China, showcasing breathtaking skill, strength, and artistry, alongside the vibrant energy of a traditional Dragon Dance. Highlights include Umbrella Stomping, Magical Costume Change, Air Walking, Drum Stomping, Ball Juggling, and Diabolo (Chinese Yo-Yo). Wanlin Dance Academy will perform the dance drama Wing Chun, expressing the essence of Chinese martial arts through dance. Meadowhall Lunar Chinese New Year Extravaganza
The Meadowhall Lunar Chinese New Year Extravaganza is a celebration of culture, tradition, and community, taking place on 20th February from 6:00–6:30pm at Oasis. The event features World Champion Lion Dance performances, festive displays, and cultural showcases, bringing the spirit of the Year of the Horse to one of Sheffield’s most popular destinations. The gallery will also be open for children of all ages to enjoy Lunar Chinese New Year activities from 14th to 20th February. Shoppers and families are invited to experience the joy, colour, and traditions of the season while celebrating cultural diversity and togetherness. Open to all.

City Centre Lunar Chinese New Year Festival
The City Centre Lunar Chinese New Year Festival at Peace Gardens is the heart of Sheffield’s 2026 celebrations, transforming the city centre into a hub of culture, colour, and community. Over two exciting days, with programme starts at 12pm, visitors can enjoy a world champion Lion Dance performance, thrilling international acrobatics, and local performances by Wanlin Dance Group alongside acts from diverse local groups. Families can take part in cultural activities and interactive experiences. This festival warmly welcomes everyone to celebrate the Lunar Chinese New Year together, sharing joy, unity, and the spirit of inclusion. Open to all.
